چین به خانه‌ای برای قوی‌ترین سانتریفیوژ جهان تبدیل شده است که قادر به ایجاد گرانش مصنوعی است. این تأسیسات که در شهر هانگژو واقع شده، امکان انجام آزمایش‌های متنوعی را برای درک پدیده‌های علمی، شبیه‌سازی رویدادهای زمین‌شناسی و آزمایش مواد جدید فراهم می‌کند.
China has become home to the world’s most powerful centrifuge capable of creating artificial gravity. This facility, located in the city of Hangzhou, enables a wide range of experiments to understand scientific phenomena, simulate geological events, and test new materials.
این پروژه که به نام تأسیسات آزمایش‌های بین‌رشته‌ای و هایپرگرانش (CHIEF) شناخته می‌شود، بزرگ‌ترین سانتریفیوژ هایپرگرانش جهان را در خود جای داده و هزینه ساخت آن حدود ۲ میلیارد یوان (معادل ۲۷۶.۵ میلیون دلار آمریکا) بوده است. ساخت این تأسیسات از سال ۲۰۲۰ آغاز شده و انتظار می‌رود که در سال جاری به بهره‌برداری برسد.
This project, known as the Centrifugal Hypergravity and Interdisciplinary Experiment Facility (CHIEF), houses the world’s largest hypergravity centrifuge, with a construction cost of approximately 2 billion yuan (about US$276.5 million). Construction of this facility began in 2020, and it is expected to be operational this year.
سانتریفیوژ CHIEF با چرخش سریع، نیروی گریز از مرکز ایجاد می‌کند که می‌تواند گرانشی بسیار قوی‌تر از گرانش زمین را شبیه‌سازی کند. این شرایط به دانشمندان این امکان را می‌دهد که فرآیندهای فیزیکی را سریع‌تر از آنچه در شرایط طبیعی رخ می‌دهد، مشاهده و مطالعه کنند. این تأسیسات برای تحقیق در زمینه‌های مختلفی از جمله مهندسی سدها، دینامیک سیلاب‌ها، و رشد گیاهان در فضا طراحی شده است.
The CHIEF centrifuge creates centrifugal force through rapid rotation, simulating gravity that is much stronger than Earth’s gravity. This allows scientists to observe and study physical processes more quickly than they would occur under natural conditions. The facility is designed for research in various fields, including dam engineering, flood dynamics, and plant growth in space.
با توجه به ظرفیت بالای این سانتریفیوژ، CHIEF قادر است تا ۱۹۰۰ g-t (شتاب گرانشی × تن) را مدیریت کند و بارهای تا ۳۲ تن را تحمل کند. این ویژگی‌ها CHIEF را به ابزاری ارزشمند برای تحقیقات علمی و مهندسی تبدیل کرده است.
With its high capacity, CHIEF can manage up to 1,900 g-t (gravity acceleration × ton) and withstand loads of up to 32 tons. These features make CHIEF a valuable tool for scientific research and engineering.
